1. All of these pictures have a theme and the similar structure, but they're interesting to look at.
2. I think he took a picture of it but pasted them multiple times and put them at different angles and lightening it up, making it fade. Then he combined them to create a slightly different version of the actual picture.
3. The first building that comes to mind is the Frost Bank that's right there in downtown Austin. Or even the capital downtown.
PART 2
1. I chose this picture because I really love the game of basketball and the setting is beautiful. The picture is rich in color and contrast.
2. Sport Action
3. Honorable Mention
4. The photographer captured the players in the middle of an intense game with a layup shot. The sunset with the clouds in the background adds onto the mood of the picture and the giant ship in the back has the lights on that glow that blend in with the sunset and the glistening players uniform.
5. The judges probably viewed the picture as a whole, examining how it all ties into one. Not only did the players poses and action shot stand out, but the mood and setting was something hard to achieve, but this photographer has the perfect view and timing for this picture to happen.
6. This is a unique photo how the background has nothing much to do with basketball, yet it all ties into together to create a very attractive photo. The colors and quality stand out so much. He had to find a way to balance out the colors.
PART 3
1. Suggestions:
- creating a memory in our heads the instant we see one of his paintings. There are some books that have less story than this image. Do that with a photograph and you will have succeeded
- A good skill to have as a photographer is to look at things from different angles to get the best shot. Do not let an awkward angle deter you from your inspiration.
- window light is the best light for portraits.
2.
3.
The author has the same set up with the potion of the people. But, there are two men sitting instead of a cop and little boy. The idea and story is different because you can't tell whats really going on in the second picture as the first tells a story just by the details.
4. Paintings that influence me are paintings that include unique textures and colors. Different and colorful pieces of art stand out to me compared to self portraits of someone sitting and posing.
